I promise to write at the best I can at the moment. So if you observe mistakes or something unfamiliar, let me know.
I hope to see how your English writing skills are going. I will probably restrict my corrections to:
- areas we have worked on recently.
- glaring mistakes.
- misuse of expressions or idioms that you wouldn't realize without correction.
This site has a spelling checker, check your work before you use it, so that you self correct typos. When you do find the spelling checker has corrected you...... Well, your a grown up..... you figure that out, however spelling checkers can miss errors e.g.; too, to and two are all correct spellings but may not be in the context.
Now it will save me a lot of work if you correct yourselves and each other. Perhaps some discussion may generate from it and such discussion can help me focus the lessons.
Last week's topic of current affairs " Democrats win the elections" seemed to be taken up with a lot of interest. The follow up discussion on your views about how it affects your respective countries of origin was very enlightening.
So it occurred to me that some of our lessons should look at American politics and history. Part of learning language is discovering the history and culture. Coming soon we will look at America and its role in the middle east.
