Rainy Day Run for Reading

Today was the Rainy Day Run for Reading, a project to benefit Literacy Source programs. This "fun-run" was held at Green Lake at 10:30 this morning and it was great to see so many students from the Advanced class, including Jiri and Stephanie, pictured above! Despite freezing temperatures and snow, everyone had a great time running, walking, and slip-sliding around Green Lake. Afterwards we enjoyed hot coffee, fruit, and croissants. The event helped to raise money for Literacy Source and increased awareness about the importance of adult literacy programs. Thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather to join us, and thanks for donating!

Tashi, Lhakpa, and Rangji get ready to run. Tomoko and her husband show off the Rainy Day Run T-shirt.
