My favorite event
My favorite event was my independence day. It happened in May 24, 1991. This day was the very interesting and a favorite day even for all the people in my country. My country is called Eritrea and it is located in the horn of Africa. It is bordered with different countries such as Ethiopia, Sudan, Djibouti and Saudi Arabia. It got its independence through a hard ship struggle of 30 years. In this struggle about 65 thousand people sacrificed their lives and 10 thousand people became disabled. Because of this we celebrate this day by remembering those people, by preparing traditional food and drinks and also playing traditional music and songs every year. Because of all the above points I really enjoy this day every year.Haregu Hailu

Welcome Haregu, you are doing very well with the challenges of learning English and using computers and the internet etc.. I think some typing practice would be a good idea. I am not a touch typist myself but I have been practising at the Keyboard Practice site. Your computer teacher may have a preferred site and will help you position your hands and keyboard to minimize discomfort.
You need some practice with prepositions and the helping or auxilliary verb "was" is incorrectly used and unnecessary in "It happened on May 24th, 1991."
I think we need to revisit prepositions next lesson.
